Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park

  • Daily:  Walking tours of the Loop are offered by the Chicago Architecture Center.  The Center offers 84 different tours; several of the most popular are offered on a daily basis. 
  • Monday and Thursday evenings:  Grant Park Music Festival at the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park 
  • Tuesdays:  Summer Film Series, Pritzker Pavilion, Millennium Park.
  • July 8-12:  Taste of Chicago –  Grant Park (diagonal to and across the street from the Fine Arts Building).  Chicago restaurants offer menu samples in the park; concerts are every evening.  
  • Navy Pier, designed as part of Daniel Burnham’s 1909 “Plan of Chicago”, offers a mix of attractions, including riding the Centennial Wheel for skyline views, exploring the Chicago Children’s Museum, catching a show at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, visiting the indoor Crystal Gardens, taking a boat tour on Lake Michigan, and enjoying various dining, shopping, and seasonal events like fireworks on Wednesdays at 9PM and Saturdays at 10PM.
  • Chicago Riverwalk is located on the south bank of the Chicago River. This award-winning, pedestrian-friendly riverwalk stretches 1.25 miles from Lake Michigan to Lake Street. Along the way you’ll discover intimate coves, breezy cafes, wineries and bars, public art, monuments, museums, and a boatload of excursions on the water.
